The feelings of being a victim of a terrible crime on an item you use on a daily, if not more, basis. That's why you need to avoid the extra possibility of having your laptop stolen. Thieves are usually just waiting for the right place and right time to pick off your laptop. Here's how to keep your computer laptop safe.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/ShOCK8jutBI/AAAAAAAAAjU/YnauIHWuPF4/s400/lap.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5337753107930461202" />
Instructions:

Step 1

If you leave your laptop for a minute at the coffee shop, lock it to the table. Those nifty laptop locks will hold your computer in place while you turn your back for a second cup of coffee. If a thief tries taking your laptop, then they have to take the whole table too, which is impossible!

Step 2

Keep your laptop in a non descriptive bag when you travel. Nothing freaks me out more than taking my laptop around Los Angeles in the Dell bag I got as a free gift when I bought my computer. Labeled with Dell all over it, the only label it doesn't have is please steal me! Make sure your laptop bags doesn't have indications that it is a laptop inside.

Step 3

Your laptop needs to be noticed if it does get in the mix of the wrong company. As I always tell people, use stickers or have some sort of identity on the outside of the computer so if someone tries taking it they know they are risking being caught by others as well as the time it will take to remove all the personalization. It is a huge discouraging factor.

Dream House

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 268px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/ShN_Q994UCI/AAAAAAAAAik/UOt8ikj5Y2A/s400/house.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5337749912852910114" />
Do you like having your own dream house by the sea, or a beach house? And so she did what could have been unthinkable a few years back before her son became famous.

She showed off her newly-acquired skills in ballroom dancing by yes, performing the “swing” with her instructor in a much-applauded surprise number before the presence of about 2,000 well-heeled guests, including the President of the Republic of the Philippines.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 199px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/ShN08W9xurI/AAAAAAAAAiE/N1yzZeASQ_Q/s400/dance.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5337738563669834418" />
Nanay Dionisia, the newly crowned Dancing Queen of GenSan
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 199px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/ShN1Do5MMPI/AAAAAAAAAiU/Dy0oQaj3JWU/s400/d2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5337738688741519602" />
Oh my God! And possible retirement.

When his head clears he will realise that the performance was a complete and utter disaster. He came to Vegas dreaming of being crowned the best boxer on the planet. He will leave after an absolute nightmare.

At least it was a short one. Freddie Roach's initial three-round prediction was not far off the mark in the end. Pacquiao's trainer also said it was too late for the Hitman to change his style - and that was just as accurate.

Ferocious

In six ferocious minutes of action, there was no sign of any boxing skills, no head movement, no cunning whatsover as he tried to close the gap and take Pacquiao on on the inside.

Instead it was the Hatton of old. Walking straight forward, square on and, as he did even on that fateful night when he forced Kostya Tszyu to quit, taking way too many shots.

Reports of a rift with trainer Floyd Mayweather Snr on the eve of the biggest fight of his life can't have helped. If there had been problems - and in five minutes 59 seconds Hatton did little to dispel the rumours - they were cruelly exposed by the Filipino phenomenon, who now stands alone at the top of boxing's tree.

Hatton's plan to chop him down had been based on getting in close and in the very first clinch of the fight, he did get two sneaky shots in on the inside. But Pac Man hadn't even begun to fight.

A few seconds later and he was in the swing, catching his man with a right and even when he was pinned on the ropes, he slipped out untroubled.

Knowing his speed would keep him clear of any one-dimensional danger, he was then able to stand his ground in the face of thoughtless attacks and let his own fists fly.

Stunned

A left-right-left combination soon had Hatton cowering, then a huge right hook, signalled the beginning of the end.

Down Hatton went, stunned, but got back to his feet at eight. It was no flash knockdown, no lucky counter, no fluke. It was speed, timing, power; everything a boxer craves, everthing Hatton had promised - and it was to be repeated.

The next time he stuttered forward, a straight left repeated the punishment and had the Hitman on his back again with 55 seconds of the first round still remaining.

Juan Manuel Marquez might have survived three first-round knockdowns against Pacquiao five years ago, but even though Hatton got up again and held on for the ball, this was so patently different. Pacquiao had, as promised brought plenty power up to 140lbs to match his pace.

Hatton did at least catch his man at the start of the second, but still he was hunting in straight lines, not using, never mind moving his head. Soon enough another left landed and sent his head rocking back, while Pac Man let loose three or four-punch combinations and stepped out of range as Hatton lunged forward.

It was all too familiar and although he managed to mess Pac Man up for the next chunk, Bayless warned him for a low blow and roughing on the inside as desperation took over far sooner than anyone had dared fear.

Horrendously

How he made it to within a whisker of the end of the session perhaps only Pacquiao can answer, but just as the seconds were getting ready, the Hatton dream was ruined. Absolutely, unequivocally and, as fiancee Jennifer's piercing ringside scream will testify, horrendously.

This time he didn't even walk onto the shot. Almost casually, Pac Man prodded out half a jab before unleashing a lightning fast left hook flush to the chin. Hatton toppled to his left, smacked the canvas hard and did not even need a count.

He did need extensive treatment and he will now need a serious assessment of just where to go next.

Pacquiao, in contrast, can look forward to the winner of Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Marquez later this year.

On this chlling evidence, he can do so with supreme confidence. Boxing has a new pound-for-pound king. And sadly, he was a class above the same old Ricky Hatton.

<img style="display:block; If you have an older sister and you are a girl, she can often show you how to navigate the way through some of the more difficult areas of growing up. This is also true is you are a boy. Your older sister can help explain to you how to interact with the opposite sex. Younger sisters are a joy as well. They often worship their older siblings and it can be a nice experience to be admired. Well that is one kind of love. But how come there is often so much friction in our family relationships? People are always saying, "oh, my sister and I, we fought like cats and dogs". It is my contention that friction in relationships is an opportunity to realize our differences and accept that although we can never fully understand each other, nonetheless we accept and love each other.

An Addict Friend

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/SesdWKbr0FI/AAAAAAAAAf8/OV2KOqbcdD4/s400/BS083484913141714.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326383250890543186" />
When a friend makes a choice to become involved with drugs or alcohol they may not be fully informed of the possible ill effects. You may feel uncomfortable when you visit a sick friend and you may worry about saying the right thing. It is important to remember that this friend is the same person that he always was. If you feel uncomfortable about being with him, share your feelings and ask if there is anything you need to know. Think about the people that you most admire in your life. Do you attribute any of their greatness to the people that raised them? Often, we do not even think about the fact that there were most likely two people who were most influential in making a person who they are. Of course I am referring to his or her parents. If a person is great, remember that greatness is not achieved in a vacuum. There were people who sowed the seeds of greatness.

Guns for Children

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 140px; height: 96px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/Sbu_JmCPabI/AAAAAAAAAYM/uAoWFrtDnHQ/s320/wil.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5313050356963305906" />I just happened to be reading an article about the tragic shooting death of a pregnant woman by her fiance's 11-year-old son. The story in itself is horrible enough, but I was stunned when I read further into the article and found this:"She didn't actually eye witness the shooting. She saw him with what she believed to be a shotgun and heard a loud bang," Bongivengo said, adding that the weapon, a youth model 20-gauge shotgun, was found in what police believed was the boy's bedroom.

The shotgun, which apparently belonged to Brown, is designed for children and such weapons do not have to be registered, Bongivengo said.

You can call me clueless but I see no reason why kids should even have guns. In my dealings with them I don't believe that most kids are mature enough for gun ownership. What is your opinion on this? The Taj Mahal (1630 A.D.) Agra, India
This was built on the orders of Shah Jahan, the fifth Muslim Mugal emperor, to honor the memory of his beloved late wife. It was built out of white marble and standing in formally laid-out walled gardens. Taj Mahal is regarded as the most perfect jewel of Muslim art in India.

2. Petra (9 B.C. - 40 A.D.), Jordan
Petra was the glittering capital of the Nabataean empire of King Aretas IV (9 B.C. to 40 A.D.) situated on the edge of the Arabian Desert. Masters of water technology, the Nabataeans provided their city with great tunnel constructions and water chambers. A theater, modelled on Greek-Roman prototypes, had space for an audience of 4,000. Today, the Palace Tombs of Petra, with the 42-meter-high Hellenistic temple, are impressive examples of Middle Eastern culture.

3. Machu Picchu (1460-1470), Peru
In the 15th century, the Incan Emperor Pachacutec built a city in the clouds on the mountain known as Machu Picchu "Old Mountain". This extraordinary settlement lies halfway up the Andes Plateau, deep in the Amazon jungle and above the Urubamba River.

4. Christ Redeemer (1931) Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
This statue of Jesus stands some 38 meters tall, atop the Corcovado mountain overlooking Rio de Janeiro. It was designed by Brazilian Heitor da Silva Costa and created by French sculptor Paul Landowski. It is one of the world’s best-known monuments. The statue took five years to construct and was inaugurated on October 12, 1931. It has become a symbol of the city and of the warmth of the Brazilian people, who receive visitors with open arms.

5. The Great Wall of China (220 B.C and 1368 - 1644 A.D.) China
The Great Wall of China is the largest man-made monument ever to have been built and it is disputed that it is the only one visible from space. It was built to link existing fortifications into a united defense system and better keep invading Mongol tribes out of China. Many thousands of people must have given their lives to build this colossal construction.

6. The Pyramid at Chichen Itza (before 800 A.D.) Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
Chichen Itza, the most famous Mayan temple city, served as the political and economic center of the Mayan civilization. Its various structures - the pyramid of Kukulkan, the Temple of Chac Mool, the Hall of the Thousand Pillars, and the Playing Field of the Prisoners – can still be seen today and are demonstrative of an extraordinary commitment to architectural space and composition. The pyramid itself was the last, and arguably the greatest, of all Mayan temples.

7. The Roman Colosseum (70 - 82 A.D.) Rome, Italy
This great amphitheater in the centre of Rome was built to give favors to successful legionnaires and to celebrate the glory of the Roman Empire. Its design concept still stands to this very day, and virtually every modern sports stadium some 2,000 years later still bears the irresistible imprint of the Colosseum's original design. Today, through films and history books, we are even more aware of the cruel fights and games that took place in this arena, all for the joy of the spectators.

Friends Forever

Forever is a very long time. How is it that people can talk so casually about a concept that we cannot even wrap our minds around? Sometimes we have a friend and we sense that our souls are very closely connected. We know that the connection is above time and space. We know that wherever we are in our lives we will always remain friends. Even if we do not see each other for years we are able to pick up right where we left off. This is what people mean when they say friends forever.

Do You believe in Angels?

According to the polls over 70 percent of Americans believe in angels and more than 30 percent are said to have seen one. According to the bible they are created by God. (Col 1:16) "For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him".

(Hebrews 13:2) states that "we often entertain angels unaware". The ones who visited Abraham appeared as men. They could talk and walk, washed their feet, rested and ate the food that had been prepared for them. (Genesis 18: 4-5) "He said, If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by. Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way - now that you have come to your servant. One of the most successful is People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or PETA as it is known. PETA boasts a cavalcade of stars that has elevated its profile to a position usually reserved for leading consumer brands.
Pink, Good Charlotte and Sir Paul McCartney for PETA

PETA’s cache of celebrity supporters includes high profile musicians like Sir Paul McCartney, Pink and Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden.

But sometimes supporters can get into hot water trying to fulfill their obligations. In 2007 Pink came under fire for supporting an anti-Australian wool campaign based on inaccurate information about the practice of mulesing – a procedure undertaken by farmers to prevent maggot infestation in sheep.

An apologetic Pink told the BBC “I was speaking without thinking …I have nothing against farmers. …I don't want to hurt anyone I just want the animals to hurt less."

And The Pretenders lead singer Chrissie Hynde, a long time vegetarian, has been arrested in her bid to save the animals.

At an exclusive club in London Chrissie reportedly became enraged at the use of an elephant’s leg as an umbrella stand. The activist supposedly threatened to throw the offending item from the premises and was given the choice; leave quietly or face the constabulary.

And there was the incident in New York at GAP in 2000 where Chrissie and other PETA supporters slashed leather clothing in protest of the company’s importation of leather goods. This time Chrissie was carted off by the police.

Read more: "Celebrities Use Fame to Save the Animals: Popular Celebrity Causes PETA, Breast Cancer Awareness & Weight Loss" - http://pop-music.suite101.com/article.cfm/celebrity_causes#ixzz09h9yJkUx

Children Are A Gift From God

Children Are A Gift From God
by Sandra Tolson
God sent me three packages
That needed special care
"Take care of these tiny gifts
For they are very rare."
"Watch over them with all your love
And let them feel your touch
Take care of their every need
For you are needed very much."

"These gifts will grow up very fast
As you soon will see
Love them with all your heart
And let them be what they will be."

"When these gifts have fully grown
Look at Heaven up above
Know they exist because of God
And all his precious love."

Angels & Airwaves: Music for the Healing Process Read more: "Angels & Airwaves: Music for the Healing Process: Reasons to Make them your Heartache's

One great band to heal your soul from anguish, depression, or other negative feelings is Angels & Airwaves.

A lot of the rejuvenating power of Angels & Airwaves owes itself to the lead singer, Tom Delonge, and a personal transformation he was going through as he was putting the band together. Reeling from painkillers for a back injury, and from the exit-stress of leaving his former band—Blink-182—Delonge claims to have been “searching for the new and correct path in life while [he] personally was losing [his] mind."

However, their second album, “I-Empire,” speaks a clearer message than the passionate-but-confused “We Don’t Need to Whisper.” Delonge comments, "It reflects an idea that the world is yours for the taking, and all that exists, exists inside you. It can be something as trivial as a personal struggle, or as grand as the inescapable idea of world peace." With a clearer direction, "I-Empire" is described by Delonge as the second-half of "We Don't Need to Whisper."
The Healing Process

If you have come to Angels & Airwaves for healing, each album has something to offer. Perhaps you’d start with the self-assertion of “We Don’t Need to Whisper.” The very title allows you to not know what you’re supposed to say, as long as you say it loudly. The album is layered with war scenes, promises etched in stone tablets, the remains of demolished cities, cleansed, golden children that are running down from the horizon, and pleas to the listener to either join him, hear him, or reassure him. Lyrics include “I can’t live, I can’t breathe, unless you do this with me,” “The ocean is on fire / The sky turned dark again,” and “You know, I won’t say sorry…You know what it’s like to believe / It makes me wanna scream.”

“We Don’t Need to Whisper” takes the emotionally wrought listener into the labyrinth of their own desires, hopes, and anxieties. It is the celebration of movement without complete control, but enough control to have a destination.

“I-Empire” is less layered, but just as passionate as its former album. It follows a straighter path to contentment and inner peace. While it’s not without lyrics of utter pain—“Tears, spilling out, across a dead end street / Your house, is a lonely box that holds you”—it is also more trusting of life—“If the world were to die, the light would guide you.”

Angels & Airwaves will probably make you feel at home in the pain of heartbreak, the frustration of life, and the belief that there has to be an answer and a reason to live again. With an echoed, airy rock sound comparable to U2, and a sufficient use of chimes, they truly have the angelic, revelatory personality that their name denotes. If they could leave you with one message from their music, it would probably be, “Here we go, life’s waiting to begin.”

Read more: "Angels & Airwaves: Music for the Healing Process: Reasons to Make them your Heartache's Band of Choice" - http://pop-music.suite101.com/article.cfm/angels_airwaves_music_for_healing#ixzz09hB5ueQ1

Changes

All of us experience change in our lives. Change is the one constant in our lives. There are changes that we look forward too and change that we fear. However, one thing is for sure. Things will not stay the same no matter how much we would like them too. When a life change occurs, we have two choices in how to respond. We can despair that a change has come and assume that things will be worse, or we can look with excitement at the new possibilities that the change presents.

Finding Hope in Difficult Times

Hope means "to desire something with confident expectation of it's fulfillment." Movies make us to feel that the incident is happening around us and we are a apart of it. A film produces an illusion of motion by presenting a series of individual image frames in rapid succession. Films are produced by a crew that handles the cameras, sets and lighting. The cast consists of actors who appear in front of the camera and follow a script. After the film has been shot, it is edited then distributed to theaters or television studios for viewing.

Want to retire happily? Then keep working after your retirement.

Retirement is a state which many of us dream when we are working. We think retirement means playing golf, no more boring work and just relaxing. Frankly, if you want to sit back and relax, it's the worst thing that can happen to you. Sitting on the couch, recalling old memories and criticizing how the world has changed in recent years can be extremely boring. Therefore retirement is not about relaxing on a couch and waiting to die, its about doing things that you have always dreamed of doing in your free time, things that will help the community, writing a book and may be write online articles like I do.

Not everyone of us retire with enough money to go on a Euro-tour or play golf as we want. It has been proven that after we retire, keeping our brain and body active helps us to live longer and also keeps our brain sharper. In order to retire happily it is very important keep working after your official retirement.

I actually know of some people who made more money after they retired and started working on a task they love. This friend of mine wrote a book about famous wine tasting and famous wines of America. Even thought its not a number one seller, he still gets some royalties out of it. Another friend voluntarily teaches English to kids of people who are challenged with the language, he has never been happier. One of my friend like to take photographs, he actually discovered his talent recently and now loves to take pictures of wild flowers and insects. Many of his pictures have been published on websites and local newspapers (thankfully he has some contacts too), but he does everything for free. This election I went to door to door campaigning for the presidential candidate I like and it was such a great relaxation for me.

A retirement without motive is nothing more than dying early. In order to retire happily you need to dig inside you all those hidden talents which got lost on your path to retirement.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://kidrocking.blogspot.com/2009/03/want-to-retire-happily-then-keep.html' title='Want to retire happily? If you choose to react negatively to everything around you, then that is exactly what you will bring about in your life. If you choose NOT to act by giving your power away in the form of blame and excuses, your ability to be proactive becomes weaker and weaker as time goes on until you find yourself not being able to do anything at all.

You have the power and the responsibility to react AND to act and the truth is you always had that power within you. You just didn’t know it until you realized the fact that it was this very same power that is responsible for the life you are living today. When that hits us, we tend to focus on the fact that all the bad things in our life were not the fault of others, but the fault of ourselves so we become overly depressed. Never despair because with that being said, it’s leads to this realization.

If you want your life to change, it’s up to YOU to change it and you CAN change it.

Use that same power which has gone out of control that has given you the life today, seize it, and use it to create the life you want. Nobody can change your life except you. Stop pointing the fingers. Start pointing them to yourself. You have the power to act and create circumstances and while you can’t control circumstances and events that are out of your grip, you can control and choose how to respond to them. When we take responsibility for our lives and realize the power that resides in choosing how to react to circumstances and choosing to act in order to create new circumstances, we realize that within us is everything we need to change our lives.

Seven Wonders of the World

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 101px; height: 145px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/Sbsdfo7nL2I/AAAAAAAAAXM/Chcit9TyMU8/s320/se.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312872614814232418" />

The negative effect of rock music on youth

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 145px; height: 69px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/SbscOS36zHI/AAAAAAAAAXE/R80riiGx9TI/s320/music.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312871217323756658" />Music has an uncanny power to transform the life of people all over the world irrespective of their race, culture or gender. Music unarguably enjoys the position of the most influential universal language. Music forms a separate culture group spread across the world in its variety of forms. The different genres of music constitute these various forms of music. Like any thing in the world, music can also be disastrous if it falls in the hands of the wrong section of the society.

Rock music is a genre of music that uses guitar, drum and bass, which contribute to its noisy music. It was originated in the western world, but took little time to gain fans all over the world. Within a short span of time, youth across the world were madly in love with rock music. In the modern age rock music has turned out into a prominent factor that decides the style of dress, language and fashion of the younger generation. Many studies have proved that rock music negatively affect the mental framework of its listeners quite unconsciously.

The most negative part of rock music is its heavy metallic sound, which unconsciously makes its listeners violent. Rock music can cause a phenomenon called nerve jamming which is similar to hypnosis. It has been pointed out that the younger people who is under the mesmerizing influence of rock music lose conscious control of their mind and succumb themselves to the pessimistic messages conveyed by most music bands. Thus, rock music is spiritually, mentally and physically harmful to the people, especially the youth.

An often-cited example in this case is that of a sixteen-year-old boy in Texas, U.S.A who was taken into a trance like state while listening to rock song that he became violent and unconsciously murdered his aunt. Thus, music even has the weird power to transform the common person into murderers and social nuisances. Unlike rock music, Classical music has a soothing effect on the mind.

"Way to Heaven"

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 138px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/SesWCyRvooI/AAAAAAAAAfs/Nnfj0MLibg0/s400/back.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326375221407490690" />
According to polls a surprising number of people believe there is more than one way to Heaven. Even more surprising is that some of our modern day Christian churches are not confronting this issue.

The only reliable information concerning the "way to Heaven" can be found in God's written word, not in the opinions of men. We must rely only upon His way. "The Way" was a designation for early Christians. It was "The Way to Heaven" then, and is "The Way to Heaven" now.

Christianity itself rests upon a "plan of salvation," so easy that even a child can understand. This perfect plan must be maintained, else those who follow the wrong teachings will spend eternity in Hell.

God's written word say's the way to Heaven is through what Jesus did on the cross.

Metallica Sparks

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 132px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yggBhgmRaxk/Sbpf6uU-OJI/AAAAAAAAAWE/wmgjqqiic2U/s320/met.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312664172909967506" />
Metallica was easily the best, most influential heavy metal band of the '80s. Responsible for bringing the genre back to Earth, the bandmates looked and talked like they were from the street, shunning the usual rockstar games of metal musicians during the early '80s. Metallica also expanded the limits of thrash, using speed and volume not for their own sake, but to enhance their intricately structured compositions. The release of 1983's Kill 'Em All marked the beginning of the legitimization of heavy metal's underground, bringing new complexity and depth to thrash metal. With each album, the band's playing and writing improved; James Hetfield developed a signature rhythm playing that matched his growl, while lead guitarist Kirk Hammett became one of the most copied guitarists in metal. To complete the package, Lars Ulrich's thunderous (yet complex) drumming clicked in perfectly with Cliff Burton's innovative bass playing.

After releasing their masterpiece Master of Puppets in 1986, tragedy struck the band when their tour bus crashed while traveling in Sweden. Burton died in the accident. When the band decided to continue, Jason Newsted was chosen to replace Burton; two years later, the band released the conceptually ambitious ...And Justice for All, which hit the Top Ten without any radio play and very little support from MTV. But Metallica completely crossed over into the mainstream with 1991's Metallica, a self-titled effort that found the band trading in their long compositions for more concise song structures. Peppered with hits like "Wherever I May Roam" and "Enter Sandman", it resulted in a number one album that sold over seven million copies in the U.S. alone. To support the record, Metallica launched a long tour that kept the musicians on the road for nearly two years.

Happy Birthday Sheet Music Saves Lives!

Okay, maybe not literally; but consider the following. No serious musician would want to admit that he couldn't just play Happy Birthday off the top of his head; but suffice it to say, that has been known to happen. Even a three chord song can thwart you if it catches you off guard; and if you've ever had to pick up the devastated heap of a musician wrecked by the inability to anticipate that pesky seventh on the first chord of the third phrase (What the heck is that, anyway? A secondary dominant? Short little "easy" songs aren't supposed to have those!), then you might want to invest in some Happy Birthday sheet music. Think of it as an insurance policy.

For the player of any skill level who doesn't hold himself to that level of expectation for memorization or picking up a song by ear, Happy Birthday sheet music can also be quite helpful. It isn't just pianists who might want to accompany a group rendition of the song, but rather anyone on any instrument might want to play along, or perform alone. You are likely to be able to find versions of Happy Birthday for any instrument from alto sax to tuba, and in many cases, duets with piano accompaniment as well.

You may be able to find some really fun digital sheet music arrangements of Happy Birthday. While some will be the bare bones chords and melody so that anyone can easily sight-read, other arrangements can be quirky, jazzy, or in a classical or pop idiom. You haven't explored the full potential of Happy Birthday until you've browsed some of the versions that you can find online.

Real-World Antidotes to Feel-Good Education

1. You may even have to wear a uniform that doesn't have a designer label.
4. If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss.
5. Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping. They called it "opportunity."
6. It's not your parents' fault if you mess up. You're responsible. This is the mirror image of "It's my life" and "You're not my boss."
7. Before you were born, your parents weren't boring. They got that way by paying bills and listening to you.
8. Life is not divided into semesters. And you don't get summers off. Not even spring break. You are expected to show up every day for eight hours, and you don't get a new life every 10 weeks.
9. Smoking does not make you look cool. Watch an 11-year-old with a butt in his mouth. That's what you look like to anyone over 20.
10. Your school may be "outcome-based," but life isn't. In some schools, you're given as many chances as you want to get the answer right. Standards are set low enough so nearly everyone can meet them. This, of course, bears not the slightest resemblance to anything in real life - as you will soon find out.
Good luck. You are going to need it. And the harder you work, the luckier you will get.

Are Woman Smart?

For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world.

The frog warned her, "You do realize that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man in the world, an Adonis whom women will flock to".

The woman replied, "That's okay, because I will be the most beautiful woman and he will have eyes only for me."

So, KAZAM-she's the most beautiful woman in the world!

For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world.

The frog said, "That will make your husband the richest man in the world.
